Close / The Dumb Waiter

A production designed and directed by Aditee Biswas in the final year of our Theatre undergraduate programme at FLAME, School of Performing Arts. Close is an interweaving of two of Harold Pinter's notable works- The Dumb Waiter and Betrayal.

The process required that the script be not only translated, but also re-contextualised to a contemporary Indian setting. This process of adaptation took place through a series of improvisations from which the performance script was developed.
